Army Command Headquarters issued a press release to “soldier Hsu from the Aviation and Special Forces Command in possession of altered gun”.

The Aviation and Special Forces Command states today (25th) that the Criminal Corps at Hsinchu Police Station, during its investigation on a fraud case, found a solider whose last name is Hsu, belonging to the 601 Brigade, is in possession of an altered gun. The gun was located at Hsu’s residence on May 10th. In violation of the “Controlling Guns, Ammunition, and Knives Act”, the soldier was transferred to the District Prosecutors Office for further investigation.

The Aviation and Special Forces Command says that it will adhere to the principle of “never mistreat the innocent and never turn a blind eye to evil” and cooperate with the prosecutor’s and police’s investigations according to law. In addition, the Command will issue an order to all officers and soldiers in its jurisdiction to continue implementing military compound management and education on military (law) discipline. Hsu’s case will serve as a lesson to be taught so that the laws and military disciplines can be further rooted solidly, and such incidents shall never happened again.
